Frequently Asked Questions

A valid credit card is required for full payment at the point of booking a session. You will receive an electronic copy of your receipt upon payment.  
Please note that employee health benefits plans, and insurance coverage vary. Janec Therapy is not responsible for the cost of sessions that are not covered by your insurance plan.
Prior to booking a session, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm their insurance coverage amount and details with their employer or insurance company.
Janec Therapy can direct bill some, not all insurance plans.
Registered Social Workers are authorized as Medical Practitioner’s under the Income Tax Act and may be claimed as a medical expense on income tax.
Fees for all extended sessions will be adjusted according to time requested by the client.

Every individual is unique! At Janec Therapy, we use evidence-based treatment and counselling modalities.

Your treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs. Therapy modalities used may include, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Strategies for Mindful living, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT for Couples), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

Jane adheres to the code of ethics as set out by the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW), as well as the Canadian Association of Social Work (CASW).

The first session will include brief introductions, initial rapport building, some information gathering (some tailored questions), and exploring your therapy goals. Jane will work collaboratively with you to establish and agree your treatment plan.

The initial session is a unique opportunity for us to begin the process of forming a therapeutic alliance that will enable us to relate with each other as a “team” a “united front” to better address any concerns you may be facing.
